Last I knew, youtube was not a valid research engine. I also learned in grad school that paranoia is almost always coupled with religious fervor and images of hell and the devil. If the world is ending, there's not much we can do about it. Or, are you telling us it will not end if we all convert to Christianity and start “living right”? Oh, yeah, paranoia is also linked to thinking of one's self as God-like.
I was outraged by the behavior of the Congressman from South Carolina during the President's speech to Congress. I have never seen a member of Congress in OUR country loudly call the President a “liar” during an address to the country. That's the kind of behavior I see in the news from places like Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan! I don't care if you are a Democrat, a Republican, liberal or conservative - the office of President of our country should be respected! I hope that Congressman receives some kind of reprimand from his own party for that deplorable behavior.
I don't see why it is the school's responsibility to contact parents if they choose to take their kid elsewhere. Parents, or the new school, have to contact the previous school for records, so I assume the school knows where the student has gone. I can't imagine what kind of problem with the school is SOBIG that it prompted that nasty letter. Ms. Kurz - have you talked to the school? Yes, school was out and people weren't around for the summer, maybe that is why you didn't get the answer you wanted.

The government is hiding a second sun from us? Trying to cover up the real reason for global warming? Some people will believe anything…

Thanks, Dawn. I agree that kids should be given information so they can think and make up their own opinions. What is everyone SO afraid of?
