MikeCR 3 years, 12 months ago on Do you think proposed Colorado Senate Bill 13-260, which would change K-12 public school financing for fiscal year 2013-2014 by increasing base per-pupil funding, among other changes, would benefit Moffat County schools?

If those of you who voted "No. The bill probably would require a tax increase, it doesn’t account for how much the changes would cost and it doesn’t address the real problems with public education in Colorado" had read the info on the bill, you would have realized that there is no tax increase. Making assumptions about things makes you look ignorant. This is about the future of Craig and about the future of your children and grandchildren. If you believe that your children don't deserve a better education, then by all means vote for it, but I don't believe for a second that there is one parent or grandparent in Craig, or Colorado who thinks their child doesn't deserve a better education. The education system throughout the country needs help, but that doesn't mean we should starve it out of existence. The only people we'd be hurting are the children.
