Just wanted to make a correction - I don't know who edited my article but I did NOT say I worked as a dispatcher for the CSP and Sheriff’s Department in moffat county. i didn't say which county it was, and it doesn't matter, but just wanted to clear up the fact that I have never worked for the Moffat County Sheriff's Dept.

Well…no, it wasn't Tim Jantz I was referring to.
Sheriff Jantz would definately not approve such activities and in this day and age, a person couldn't get by with things they could 30 years ago.
I'm sure if you were to ask folks who have lived in BP all their lives about my stories, you would find out they are true.

Thank you nimrod … and taking the kids over to the ponds in the summer so they could chase after and catch frogs… and pulling the kids up the KT mine road with our trucks in the wintertime so they could slide down the hill on their sleds, after we all chose the perfect Christmas tree…and then having a big bonfire in the snow so we could have hot chocolate and wiener roasts…and one kind local who used to take all the kids around the whole park and give them history lessons on different things…yeppers…kajillions more stories that could be told. But times change and those days are gone. I feel priviledged to have known these times and the people who lived back then. KB

Excellent read! I'm sure you have penned what so many of us think.about those who have given up everything - doing their best to keep the rest of us free. It is refreshing to read something positive like your column, with so much negativity going on in the world today. Thank you!

Oh Wow! this is the best funniest story I've encountered from you since forever.… even funnier than Pat McManus or Baxter Black. You certainly have given me something to snicker and laugh about for a whole month of Sundays….. . Great Job Mr. Glanville!

Oh Granny - Irish Canyon is one of my favorite places to explore also with all the petroglyphs and up by the old Irish Lake there is an overhang/cave with initials supposedly of Butch Cassidy and some of the old pioneers. There are so many different places to explore and some of the sunsets and sunrises are to die for. I also love the Swinging bridge and Crouse Canyon. Have seen lots of turkeys up there and even a bear.
The last time I drove over the Swinging Bridge, there was a cow moose standing in the water under the bridge and when it creaked and groaned from the movement of my truck, it startled her and she went whipping down the river as hard as she could go….
There is also the Coke Ovens … and . . Cold Springs in all its glory and well … . I could just go on and on. I'm only allowed 700 or so words for my articles and it is hard to maintain that requirement when I get started on things I love
