Here is some Arizona Superbowl trivia –- Remember when the state of Arizona first hosted a superbowl about 10 or so years ago. A few months prior to the Superbowl they had voted overwhelmingly as a state (about 65% if my memory serves me correctly) not to have Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day as a state holiday. The NAACP presured the NFL into taking away the Superbowl because of how the people voted in a free election. Soooo the state had an “emergency” election to reconsider MLK day, because the loss of a Superbowl would cost the state millions in lost revenue. The state narrowly approved a state recognized holiday commemorating MLKJ Day by a razor thin margin. So there you have it, history of how “legal” extortion works in our country and how racist people play the race card when it suits them. Just a little something to think about before you go to sleep at night. Ahh big deal.

Oh, and I would watch the Superbowl instead of the inaugeration.

I thought the guy giving the opening prayer was going to try to make out with Obama. The way he was carrying on in the prayer about Obama, you would think Jesus Christ himself was taking over as the president. You have to be an ego maniac to desire that people almost drop their loads when they talk about you. I guess we should be thankful that it isn't Billary as our president.

Mortgage insurance, mortgage reserve, and interest are all part of the “fee” you are paying to borrow the money. So it is in essence part of the interest you are paying, either directly or indirectly, would you not agree stan?

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, and tastes good with a cranberry glaze, it is mostly likely a duck. Just because they didn't find anything doesn't mean she didn't scam moffat county too, we just didn't find anything because she didn't leave a paper trail. If the paper didn't tell the community about Ms. F they would not be doing their job. They reported the facts and it is up to the reader to formulate their own oppinions about guilt. Since she has robbed everyone else she has worked for it should be Guilty unitl proven innocent in this case.

$4.5 million a year is the debt service that the hospital is going to have to cover every year is that correct Stan? Remind us again of what debt they are currently able to service? What are there operating profits going to be this year Stan? If they are zero, they are going to have to increase net income by roughly 4.5 million per year is that right?

Breaking out my calculator I come up with a number closer to 12% for interest once we add in the up front interest they pay in the form of finance charges. I like that we are borrowing 37 million but are paying back 42 million. And who gets the 1.4 million?

We should start a football pool type of bet on who gets closest to the actuall amount of cost overruns they end up with on the hospital and that person gets the pot if they get withing $100,000. Or we could just have people write their names on squares and have a hundred squares and charge 10 bucks a square and randomly assign overruns to each of the squares. Who's ever square is closest gets the money.

     Stan,

So you are saying that they are on track to loose over (600,000) in the hospital side of their business, but will come out and tell everyone how they made a million dollars because they got money from other sources to stay afloat? Daily Press are you reading this? If my memory serves me correctly then much of the income that they are showing is due to the fact that the hospital foundation gave them a million dollars (My business has given over 5,000 in the last five years to this foundation) a few months back and they are recognizing that as revenue, is that correct? Is that what they are telling this community? Are they also recording the money they received from department of local affairs as revenue too?

So if my assumptions are correct, any profit they make this year then is due to the efforts of the previous administrator Randy Phelps because he was the one who put together the foundation and got the DOLA money, does that sound right Stan? And the rest of their “profit” is from the tax we approved last year. So if their profits are coming from the work done by a guy who hasn't been here in three years and taxes that are suppose to used for the new building, what has the current hospital done to make money in the last few years? Haven't they shown a loss now for three or four years? I was on a committee with Randy for a number of years and he had one bad year and he was kicked out. How does the current CEO get away with three terrible years and still keep his job? Is their strategy just to get money from loans and the county and use it for operations? Doesn't someone go to jail when you start missapropriating money like that Stan?

Oh on this note, the last HH residnets both drive brand new $30,000 vehicles. I worked and saved for almost 6 years to have a down payment on a place and I drove POS second hand cars so I could afford a house. How do people who qualify for a HH house also qualify for 50 plus thousand dollars in car loans? I am sure they are great and deserving people, I am just asking a question here.

     Samantha,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Finally someone from your group is providing information. My only question about that interest is how much in fees and “loan insurance” will the hospital have to pay that isn't being calculated into that 7.85%? When all that is figured into the pay-off, what is the end rate that the hospital will be paying? Your finance guy can easily calculate this by taking his HP Calculator (every finance guy who is a finance guy has this calculator so just ask him and he will know what I am talking about) and determining the actual cost to build the hospital and subtrating that from the total loan amount to come up with what the fees and finance charges are upfront. This is then inputed into the financial calculator as an upfront payment. You input your annual payment, the total loan value, and the length of the loan and push compute IRR. It will take a few minutes but it will produce what the actual annual percentage rate is when you factor in the “other” interest and fees you have to pay. Thanks Samantha! Again, way to go giving out information. I hope they don't fire you for it.

Wow! All of this hubub over something that is just one step up from a prarie dog. For those who didn't read the posts on the prarie dog problem, I would like to make reference to the prarie dog fences that they make to keep PDs out of your property. Please go to that discussion forum and read how PDs are controlled.

It sounds like Ms. Montgomery is jumping to conclusions. How did a house cat get shot and still make it home is what I would like to know. If a gun hit a cat in the torso it would be dead instantly. Even if the loan gunman on the grassy hill shot it with a 22 and winged it, it would have taken the leg clean off and it would have bled to death before it made it home. Sounds like it got a little tore from a predator and made it home and Ms CSI County Road 205 was able to do forensic tests and determine it was a gunshot wound. Which is cool because I am sure she has her Home investigation lab kit where she was able to find gun powerder residue and run balistic tests.

And about you “wasting money” by getting them nuetered just weeks before - Who spends money on a cat? It's a disposable pet, especially if its an outside cat. Everyone who is anyone knows that life expectancy of an outside cat in this area is about six months if you don't have a good barn and help feed the little guys. I am sure your cats have been well digested and returned to the earth that gave them life. This is the cirle of life. We all are born, we live, we get ate by a Coyote. Soon they will help fertilize the grass that a deer will eat. I will shoot that deer next fall and your kitty will end up in my freezer and feed my family. So thankyou for the meal!!
