their called tea-bag parties by the way. Look it up.
Let me get this straight, Our “far left out of touch government” is going to anger our enemies? By talking to them?
Didn't our last president bypass that and go straight to destroying their government, electing proxy heads-of-State that would bend to our will, not to the will of the people they are sworn to uphold? Didn't our last president invade the homeland of sovereign peoples?
And talking about our differences to find peace is going to REALLY anger them? Perhaps I need to take another psychology course, because I thought the normal human reaction to agression was to fight. Apparently, it is to roll over and play dead.
Curious that yesterday was one of the bloodiest in Iraq ever. Very curious. I personally don't believe action movies are the way to run a global power.

Wow, a real, live tea-party in Craig! Such a thing has never been seen in this country since, well, The American Revolution. We, the rebels, were fighting for our freedom from tyranny.
My question, where was this tea-party the past eight years? Apparently, government is “taking over our schools, our corporations, our healthcare, and our personal liberties. Those calling Obama and the Democrats tyrants backed a man who:
Started the bailouts, nationalized an insurance company, added a 17 trillion dollar drug entitelment program, and started a government mandated schooling program quite literally titled “No Child Left Behind”. He wire tapped citizens without warrants, created secret internment camps in international waters, beyond the jouresdiction of the American Courts, and allowed his VP to live in a world devoid of rules, striking his house from Google map archives, and more imortantly, allowing him to shoot a man in the face and take more power than is constitutionally warranted.
Thank god HE was ok.
Grow up people. Government will always be great or horrible, depending on who's in power.
By the way, the national movement is called tea-bag partys, not tea-parties. Look it up.

It is mildly ironic that I have been on both sides of this issue, as a competitor in Track and football, as well as a four-year participant in newspaper and debate.
To those who say the football team is on a 4 year jersey rotation, you are wrong. Varsity got new jerseys my freshman and junior years. I do not know about my sophomore or this year. Why is it the band has to wait so long?
To those who talk about how all the money the team makes is from the gate and concessions, that is false too. They are well funded through the Athletics Department. The same could not be said for the theater department or choirs. ANY Club for that matter.
It doesn't stop there. The pop machines in the high school garner a huge amount of revenue. ALL of it is earmarked for the athletics teams, primarily the football team. How do I know? I'm the editor-in-chief of the high school paper, but I was an investigative and sports reporter my freshman and sophomore years. I wrote a huge feature story on the topic, having in-depth interviews with the then Principal and Athletic Director.
They confirmed it, and could not give me a viable reason then. I'm curious if Mr.'s Matt Ray and Thom Schnellinger will look to cut the team's funding when the Colorado Board of Education's ban on soda takes effect.

Patrick, I agree with you that Democracy is the best scenario, not socialism. The left is not advocating socialism. as far as taxes, the rich (making 250k or more) get taxed higher. Those making less get breaks.
Was FDR, largely considered one of the BEST presidents, a socialist? He pulled us out of the Depression through spending, increasing government size and creating jobs. Exactly what is being sought right now. It worked before, so how is it poison?
As far as the Left trying to get the right on board because the bill is, “a poison pill,” that's not it at all. The reason is that although the Dems. have the majority, it is not filibuster proof. so Reps. can block it through a “time suck”. The left thinks the bill is the right idea, and need something done. The bickering wastes time.
If you would like to see something happen, you will have to participate. the right still has power to keep the left in check, and I agree, we will need it. The same as if the right were in power.
We have a 2 party system for a reason. We need you, and you need us. Otherwise, we are a group of idiots, ceasing to be American.

Patrick, I would like to ask you a question. At what point did Obama do something detrimental to you? In the past, did he hurt you in some way?
I only ask because you have yet to provide any evidence of wrongdoing, yet you are sounding the battle cry from your soap box. Barack Obama has spent days in office. The country is still standing, regardless of what you have said.
To write someone off before they have had a chance to illustrate their abilities is ridiculous. I am the two-year editor-in-chief of the high school newspaper, a multiple time state qualifier in Speech and Debate, taking college classes, and I have been accepted into all the colleges I've applied to for a major in Political Science and Law. Yet, by your rational, society COULD write off ever teenager in the US as lazy, unreliable and disadvantageous to America.
Why not give people a chance before you scream about their incompetence?
Now, as far as the torture subject goes, McCain himself said waterboarding is, in fact, torture. So if the 'figurehead' of the Republican party is against it, had the election gone red, you could still be seeing the same course of action.
Additionally, the stimulus package has SOME merit. The idea is to inject life into the economy through spending. This is largely a liberal idea, but it is endorsed by economic experts on both sides. It is important to note both the 'hands off' (Laisae Fair) and the 'oversite' philosophies of the economy both work. the idea is you pay less and get less, or you pay more and get more. Now as far as I am concerned, I would prefer to listen to a economist as opposed to a blogger in Craig, CO. Nothing against you or Craig, but the economy is the economists job. He makes his living on making the right choice.
I'd love to see your comments, but please bring good information to the discussion, not personal attacks. I've followed these posts long enough to realize people like to attack young Democrats. I would like to point out, I am not 'spoon fed my ideas'. I am the only liberal in my household.
