as i have said before, what difference does it make. if past performance is any indication, they will never enforce the ordinance regardless of what it covers.

no question that medical marijuana can be helpful to some individuals. however, at this point, regardless of state or local decrees,, by federal law the use of it is illegal. just because the feds turn their heads does not make it right.

strange group the craig planning and zoning commission. mr. meineke has not heard any negative comments. maybe he just hears what he wants to hear. if he is so determined to keep craig beautiful, maybe he should do something with the eyesore on victory and ranney. and jarrod ogden seems to be entirely unsure of what type of community craig is. in one paragraph he states craig is a unique community, and in the next paragraph he states the code is based on what other communities do. then the next paragraph he states we are not a little steamboat. no wonder businesses don't come to craig and why craig businesses don't upgrade. a big hand to lop behrman for speaking out.

it was not the sheriff's call. the craig p.d. through an interagency agreement has jurisdiction outside the court house. they made the call, and it was the correct way to go.

it seems to me that the whole situation has become a farce. wrongs on both sides of the issue do not make either side right. the factor of free speech should not be a consideration. would reina have placed an ad telling who he is had he not been a candidate? of course not. even if he did over spend the limits he was the only one injured. if the council wants to make an example of something, why don't they see to it that their ordinances are enforced. for example - litter laws, noise ordinances, teen smoking, expired auto licenses and permits, etc.

i also wonder if reina really wanted to file a counter suit or if he has been pressured into it by the aclu. he does not seem like the type of person to take this type of action.

surely none of us like to pay a lot in taxes, and the teapartiers have every right to protest. i wonder how they would react to the decrease in services lower taxes would produce! also, in viewing the protest as i was passing by i notice several young children waving signs and yelling to passing cars. i doubt if any of them had the slightest idea what they were protesting. why weren't they in school? if they are being home schooled, is this any indication of what they are learning from parents?

interesting that joshua roberts considers the hospital loan a federal gift. by the way, what is the interest rate on the loan? in all of the daily press news articles and all of the hospital public relations efforts none has ever been mentioned. are the citizens being taken for another ride?
