I hope that the citizens do not believe as taxslave does. Not ALL of the force is corrupt. There are some excellent officers on a force and my fear is that those good ones are the ones that are going to say “it's not worth it” and leave the area, then what will we be left with?
For years NOONE would help Dr Told see the low income and indigent people in this county. The hospital shut the doors on the care clinic and VNA was forced to secure funding to get a community health center! We are building a brand NEW hospital because they said the building was inhabitable. The hospital had all the visiting doctors vacate the building on Yampa because they brought in their own hospital ran clinic and NOW they want the community to buy the old hospital (that was inhabitable) let them have their OWN doctors rent free in a place right next door to a community health center that they would not support in the first place! Does the county Really think this is a WINWIN situation? get real
Sandrocks has a social worker, that person should be able to give you the information that you need or at least put you in contact with someone that can give you more input. Also, friends have found it very helpful to ask the VNA home health staff about key questions to ask the ombudsman and social worker when there were concerns, they found everyone very up front and resourceful
I have been an organ donor for almost 30 years–back in the day I had to get a statement notarized and another 2-3 witnesses saying that it was okay. I am so happy that the process is simpler now. As far as giving organs to donors first, there are sometimes very legitimate reasons why someone can not be an organ donor but they can still and should receive a donor if necessary. As Executive Director please do not look at the cup half empty! The awareness campaign has come along ways and it still has mountains to climb but keeping with the gift of life and the unselfish act should not be tainted by criticism of those who can not or those who choose not to give
I have a good friend here from another country (legally, by the way) she states that in other countries around the world–Election day is HUGE, its like a national holiday, there are no business's opened and family and friends all go and vote together, the children watch and are very enthralled with the process. The families then all go to one house and have dinner and talk about the voting. She says its very emotional and touching on voting days. Makes me think how proud they all must be.
