Question of the week
Did the Moffat County School Board make the right decision in replacing MCHS athletic director Rick Penner, who had been considered missing after not being heard from for about a week?

So let me get this straight. U.S. Governement with billions to spend on intelligence is trailing some poor shmuck around trying to pin something on him? Is that what you are telling me? With a million really easy targets to pick from they find some Joe Shmoe in BFE to try and harrass. My advice to you is to stop trying to blow up the U.S. and they will stop harrassing you. If you look like a duck, quack like a duck, and walk like a duck, you must be a duck. Those of us who aren't doing anything mischevious don't have anything to worry about. I am also sure that you are using this as an excuse why you don't have to work. Tell your friends and family to funnell some of that money back to you so you don't have to work. My point is, is that it sounds like you have too many holes in your story. Go shovel it somewhere else because we have all the deer crap we can use here in Craig and we don't need to buy any more.

Nah, Native isn't Samantha but he does work for the hospital. I think the hospital knows who he is and told him to quit commenting and leave it up to the brass to make the calls.

Doesn't matter if Montana has an entire section that talks about a right to leave the union. It was a United States territory before it became a state. The only way that Montana could strike out on its own is if the whole country disolved and even then it would likely confederate with Idaho and Washington since it is land locked and would have to rely heavily on imports of food so the people didn't starve. My cousin lives in Montana and he said there are more Californians in Montana then there are Montanians. They spent 100 years screwing up California now they are screwing up Montana. Texas is sappose to have a document that says they have the right to vacate the US since they were the only independent nation to become a state (not a U.S. territory at any time). They tried it in 1861 and Lincoln and the federalist sent 280,000 boys in blue to the happy hunting grounds in the civil war and Texas was never allowed to become their own nation after the war (you would think if anyone of the Southern states has a right they do, but it wasn't allowed). Oh by the way, there's a Montana state law still on the books says it's illegal for unmarried women to fish alone and married women to fish alone on Sundays. It's also illegal in Montana to shoot seven or more Indians in a group because it is considered a war party (boy talk about violating a person's constitutional rights!)
The next question would be "is our constitution in jeopardy?" Believe it or not, our constitution is going to be our own downfall. We have way too many individual freedoms as it is. For example, under the constitution, we have to many rights to sue people. The terrorists at Gitmo are now sueing the US for violating their freedoms. They blew up people, killed people, terrorized people, but because we locked them up and haven't pampered them, they are going to sue us and win millions of dollars. And the cool part is that our own constitution and the modern interpretation there of says they not only have the right, but will likely win. Our constitution is going to give us just enough rope to hand our selves.

taxslave and 50cal,
You guys have really good points at time and i am always interested in what you have to say, but then you go and make some stupid comment about how the president own half of a 100 billion dollar corporation or that Monatan somehow has a legal right to get out of the union. Not even Texas who voluntarily joined as a free nation has a right to suseed from the U.S.(even though they claim they do). Keep posting the legitimate info and stay away from the science fiction and you'll get more people to listen.

Stan,
So what is the final loss for the hospital last year? Which numbers do the people loaning the hospital money get to see when they are making decisions? Does it amount to the hospital keeping two sets of books? Do they have to give a "final" report on what the final numbers are? If their loss changed since they were audited do they have to have the auditors come back and look at the books again? Why doesn't the hospital give the public all the facts so we can be better informed?

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
I thought they were going to start building the hospital this spring. Why are they spending tax dollars to pay for things other than the new building? Hey county commissioners, that money should be going into a trust fund until they have to start paying off the loans, they shouldn't be spending it on whatever they want.
Tax Slave,
The paper does report on how the hospital is dong. Everyday they usually have a quarter page article on the second or third page. It costs the hospital about $300 and it covers things like "Do you think we should change our name?" or "What should we do with a building that isn't fit to house chickens?" I particularly liked the annual report they put out that had pictures of doctors and nurses that didn't even work at the hospital. Too many advertisement $$$$$ surely are clouding the judgement of the Gods of the Copybook Heading.

Ok let me get this straigth ........ Are you saying that the "sky is falling?" Oh know I was afraid of that ...... Quick, run for the hills.
I have know doubt that we are all screwed, but it's not going to be a quickie in the afternoon that you guys are talking about. This is the type of screw'n that you see coming from a long ways away (years). Kinda like being put in the same prison cell with a big, red-neck pervo. There will likely be dinner and some hand holding before the whole event and maybe a little small talk, but when the lights finally go out at night you are going to get all the love'n you never wanted. There is nothing any of us can do about it but try to prepare ourselves. Take deep breaths and try and relax and try not to think about it. Sure there are others who could help out and maybe stop it from happening, but they are also too busy worrying about the screw'n there about to take to worry about yours. And the warden, the guy calling all the shots, sits in a big fancy leather chair and can't see it from his house. There's no conspiracy, no us or them, just sweet prison love that you can't avoid.

This is also why we pay law enforcement 40-50 thousand a year to sit in a 25,000 dollar car in a blind spot writing tickets. Its easy, relatively safe, and you get to charge a fine. Just another form of tax collection. Hastle normal everyday working folks for going five over the limit (which is the speed of a brisk walk) instead of going after real criminals.
I also get a kick out of how overboard our system goes. I saw a one armed elderly lady have to take her arm off at DIA for the gaurds so they could make sure she didn't have a bomb. YEAH when was the last time an old white lady took out a plane? Try never - If we live in a society where little old ladies are blowing people up then we might as well all just give up on society, because it is done.
Right now check the paper for the sheriff and city police call list. Almost half are people with spanish last names and they only make up maybe 15% of the population. Math is interesting on that one. Heck I bet not one of those currently being charged in the last big drug bust will get deported or spend any real time in jail. But nail the kid who brought the pocket knife to school. Kinda like the principal who expelled the first grader back east because his mom put a butter knife in his lunch box and the first grader self reported it to his teacher. Zero tollerance in these cases is 100% crap.
