I am outraged at the thought of someone removing a beautiful part of our town. These magestic creatures should not be put in the same category as bears. If DOW decides to trap them, and slaughter innocent animals we wont stand quiet. The beauty of our town is we are in the midst of nature. no reguard for life if you decide to capture and slaughter! it is legalized poaching!
The terrible thing is heresay continues to overrule good judgement and the truth. You would think the truth is a double edged sword that cuts lies in both directions. Unfortunately, one rumor has caused someone so dear to the golf community to be severely ruined. We will take our clubs to another course and hopefully the Yampa valley golf officials will realize thier HUGE mistake when the revenue slips into the red.
Every day I get up and out with my dog Ruger as I leash him and strap on my running shoes to jog through the streets of craig, and more often than not am attacked/pestered by unleashed dogs. Yesterday I even ran by the park as an owner watched his dog run up to my dog and mount him. I yelled and kisked at the dog and the owner watched. I continued two blocks with the dog in tow and he finally tackled my dog. So i kicked the dog as hard as i could and then the owner decided to get angry. I want to let the residents know i am buying full strength pepper spray! Owners who think they are above and beyond the leash law- unleashed dogs need beware. i have made at least ten reports in the last six months, never seeing a cop even partol by our house when there are unleashed dogs. Its an outrage!!! I obey the law, and I suffer for it because my dog cant get away from other dog when they approach us! I wish there was something i could do. Pepper spray seems like the only valid solution short of letting my dog get ravaged/violoated by other dogs.
