Jason Phillips 1 year ago on Do you worry that new gun laws passed in Colorado will adversely effect the state’s hunting industry?

You are proving my point, Cory. I have nothing against guns in general. I support the 2nd amendment. But the moment anyone talks about the slightest bit of gun control legislation people start freaking out.

There is no reason to believe the hunting industry will be adversely affected. It's just some alarmist gun nut propaganda.

Jason Phillips 1 year ago on Routt and Moffat county sheriffs say they won't, and can't, enforce new Colorado gun laws

The difference is that the president is operating within the parameters of his office, and the Sheriffs are not. Even if we were talking about a different issue than gun control entirely, it's the principle of picking and choosing which laws to enforce that I have a problem with. That's not how our society was built, and that's certainly not what they were elected to do.

@firstofthefallen - Part of the reason its such an issue is that the Sheriffs have collectively decided to make this a PR political effort. If they were merely practicing discretion that would be one thing - but they are taking a political stance and grandstanding. It's offensive and outside the scope of their roles. They ought to be impeached.

Nothing against Taylor DeMent - who I'm sure is a fine person - but if anyone at the Daily Press ever gets around to wondering why I didn't renew my online subscription when it expires here in a few months... You ought to look no further than this Dollar Tree employee interview being on the front page for 3 weeks.

Jason Phillips 1 year, 1 month ago on What is your reaction to a decision by Moffat County Commissioners to pursue a resolution supporting the Second Amendment Rights of Moffat County residents?

Of course Craig people would support this - they haven't the first clue what an effective local government looks like. The pandering is stupid to anyone who understands government - but the anti-federal platform is what Kinkaid got elected on, and Craig people seem to eat it up - so there is no incentive to stop.
