What an enormously arrogant and condescending (not to mention disingenuous) remark. Apparently, your sister publication in Steamboat is “giving away its product”, as it has not limited access by imposing a subscription firewall. Are you aware now, Bryce?

As a right-wing capitalist, I don't begrudge anyone their prerogative to implement any business model they choose to try and maximize revenues and profits. But to respond so contemptuously to a reader who happens to disagree with that model is childish, at BEST.

Here's what the subscription requirements means to me, and I suspect, to a majority of your online readership: I'll be visiting much less frequently (the annoying ads that I have to actually seek out & figure out how to shut off have already started that trend in my case), and your online advertisers will lose those views. If it remains a profitable arrangement for you and them despite the reduced traffic, more power to you.

If you continue to deal with your readers as disdainfully as you responded to David, then shame on you.

Sadly, we can only wish you were doing nothing. Instead, you've chosen to rationalize cmommy's defense of evil, instead of condemning it. Child molestation is not a 'shades of grey' kind of issue. It couldn't be more black and white; it is a pure distillation of evil. Your eagerness to look the other way while cmommy defends the scumbag says a great deal about you, and none of it positive. One wonders whom cmommy is defending here. She castigates “people in glass houses” - which suggests she believes everyone weighing in here to be pedophiles. Which, in turn, paints a very dark picture of the world she inhabits, and the evil, twisted degenerates with whom she chooses to share it.
