Moffat County Quality of Life Project
Welcome to the Moffat County Quality of Life Project, an initiative of the Craig/Moffat Economic Development Partnership, Moffat County Tourism Association, Craig Chamber of Commerce and the Craig Daily Press.
We hear over and over that the quality of life of our part of the world is why we call Moffat County home. So, we’re seeking insight into what aspects of Moffat County drew you here and keep you around. We’re purposefully making this contest open-ended to allow you the freedom to tell us exactly what makes this place special to you. You may do that in writing or by way of art, or both.
Please note that written submissions are limited to 500 words. Also, please be as specific in your explanation as possible.
All entries may be used for future promotions of Moffat County.
And to reward you for the effort, we’re offering cash prizes. Entries will be judged by a panel of longtime Moffat County residents. The first-place artwork and written work will each win $250. Second place overall wins $100, and third place overall wins $50. In addition, for entrants age 12 and younger, first place wins a $100 savings bond, second wins a $75 savings bond and third wins a $50 savings bond.
Enter online or submit your entry by mailing a completed form and your submission to Craig Daily Press, Attn: Quality of Life Project, P.O. Box 5, Craig, CO 81626. Entry forms are available at the Craig Daily Press, Maybell Store and Dinosaur Town Hall.
Entries are due by Aug. 5, 2011.
For more information, call Chris at 620-4155.
