Matt Stensland is a photojournalist for the <cite>Steamboat Pilot & Today</cite>. He has worked for the paper since January 2006. Matt started working at the paper as a reporter covering the town of Hayden, real estate and business. After about a year he was hired on as the newspaper's first full-time videographer. Matt has a bachelor's degree in print journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and grew up in Urbana. When not working, you will most likely find Matt soaking at either the Old Town or Strawberry Park hot springs.

Brady Meier died Friday after construction site accident

Brady Meier was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. at Yampa Valley Medical Center, Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg said. The cause of his death has not been determined, but Ryg and investigating officers said they think Meier was struck with a fitting from a pressurized water line.

The Civil Air Patrol expanded its search Monday for the pilot and passenger of a downed aircraft, to an area encompassing 4,000 square miles in 11 counties. Levi Klapperich, 26, of Durango, and his father, Mark Klapperich, 56, of Hayden, have been missing since Sunday morning after their twin-engine Cessna 310 left Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden and flew east toward Fort Collins.
