Amanda Fuerte, 24, has been a copy editor at the Steamboat Pilot & Today since November 2006. She previously worked as a Dow Jones copy editing intern at the San Jose Mercury News in San Jose, Calif., from May 2006 to November 2006. Amanda was born and raised near Seattle, where she learned the finer things in life involve being outdoors. After transferring from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, she graduated from Gonzaga University in 2006 with a bachelor of arts degree in Journalism. Playing sports, especially softball, is one of her favorite pastimes.
