4 to 6 p.m. The Equality in Health cooperative hosts the Cultural Competency Panel, a discussion designed to increase awareness about Hispanic/Latino culture, in the Platinum Room of the Craig Visiting Nurse Association, 360 E. Victory Way. Call Teresa Wright at 871-7639.

8:30 to 10 p.m. The Grand Futures Prevention Coalition hosts a Summer Splash Party for fifth- and sixth-graders at Craig City Pool. Admission is $5 per person and covers pizza, soda and swimming.
Wednesday, Aug. 1
8 a.m. The Craig Downtown Business Association meets at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. The second Wednesday of each month is a meet-and-greet, hosted by a local business.
Noon. The Red Hat Society has a potluck at the Craig Fire Station, Take a dish to share and your own table service and drink. Call Peggy at 824-2338.
1 to 4 p.m. Ground-breaking for the Infrastructure for the new site of The Memorial Hospital is at the site west of town by the American Legion.
5:30 p.m. The Craig Beautification Committee has its weekly meeting at the Chamber of Commerce, 360 E. Victory Way. The public is invited to attend. Bring work gloves and gardening tools.
Thursday, Aug. 2
10 a.m. to noon. The Moffat County Libraries Craig branch, 570 Green St., hosts a 2007 Summer Reading Program Completion Party. Events include storytelling, flannel board, puppet show, magic show and prize drawings.

8 p.m. to midnight. The Craig Fire/Rescue Firefighter’s Ball is at the OP Bar and Grill, 534 E. Victory Way. Cost per ticket is $10. Tickets can be purchased from any firefighter, at the station or by calling 824-5914.
