Lauren Blair returned to the Craig Press in late 2016 to cover the government, energy and environment beats after serving as health and education reporter in 2014 and 2015. A Colorado native, she graduated from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts degree in critical social thought.
Her great loves include words, photographs, food and adventure. Over the years, she’s served as Outward Bound instructor, wedding photographer, personal chef and entrepreneur, but in journalism she found her match. The people of Craig and Moffat County have become very near and dear to her since first landing here and the stories of Northwest Colorado a source of infinite fascination. When not chasing wildfires or obsessing over a story, Blair can be found singing, dancing, cooking (usually all three at once) or traveling around this beautiful state with camera in hand alongside husband, Yuri Chicovsky.
