Can't raise prices at the pool, it does not belong to them. Again, the property in question is south of the fence at the southern end of the pool. It's the land, kids playground and basketball court that is in question. I agree with you on how to raise money, but this is the second time you have suggested raising rates at something that does not belong to them, kinda hard to do that.
Take the $25,000 and get on with it. Either that or sign back the original lease…city maintains, VFW gets free city utilities. End of it and we all win.
Why are those involved making this so complex?

I thought that was the American Legion? Isn't that a different organization than the VFW? Not being argumentative, just trying to get it straight.

The pool at the shadow mountain building is owned by the American legion and they can not afford to keep it open it has been closed for well over a year now.

I kind of agree with David about the land south of the pool. Either take the offer or sign back the lease. Either way I think the VFW will still come out ahead. There is a million different things they can do to raise money for their organization. Just think out of the box.
It is a shame that the American Legion had to close the pool there. it would be nice to still be able to go there and chillax in the hot tub. ohh yeaaa!!!
