Colorado Northwestern Community College has a $50,000 budget for artwork at the new Craig campus. Is the budget appropriate or excessive?

|---|---|---|---|
| Excessive. That’s an overly lavish expense considering the economy, rising costs of higher education, and education cutbacks. | 70% | 238 | |
| Appropriate. The campus is new and there are bound to be costs involved in making it look appealing. | 27% | 93 | |
| Undecided. | 2% | 7 | |

I honestly feel that all the local artists should have the opportunity to show their work at the new college as a kind of donation. The college would not own the works but the artists could show there and have the opportunity to possibly use the college as an outlet for getting better known. Sort of advertising. It wouldn't have to cost anything to the college or the artists except the time to make the art work and the college's time to choose which pieces would be shown.

I personally don't think $50k is too much as long as they bought from local artists, as well as featured artwork from those same artists and a few others as well. @kp81625 I like your idea! @Ranger520 I would think that the college's Insurance would cover it as long as it is in their possession.
