While I voted for college, I also believe it depends on the student. Some might be better off to find a good starting job at a place like Tri State or Yampa Valley as examples, although there are other places to look. If they could land a good paying job with a company that has training and advancement opportunities, save as much as possible in a 401K. That person might be able to retire at 55.

I also voted for college ,and I also believe it depends on the person. For instance the military would help pay for alot of training and school afterward.

Anyone heading to college now is wasting their time. Doesn't anybody read what's going on out there? There aren't jobs for the recent graduates let alone others. if you're not planning on waiting tables or cleaning condos, your best bet is to follow our jobs…….to China.

It does all depend on the student. Collage Grads are seaarching for jobs, just like everyone else. If your a great student, do Collage, if your not, get a good job.
I went the Military Way,(U.S.NAVY) and for me I think that was best. I grew up alot, and broadened my life outlook.

To taxslave:
Anyone that thinks educating themselves is a “:wasting their time”, as you put it, must be living under a rock.
Education is always of value, no matter what the field.
Also anyone that thinks the only jobs other than “waiting tables or cleaning condos” are in China, is also living under a rock.
There are many jobs right here in Moffat county that require a college education and/or some specialized high tech training. And these jobs pay good wages. I know, I hold one of these jobs.
To say education is a waste of time shows a lack of reasonable and common sense.
