Unless you have a religious basis for your decision against being an organ donor, choosing to not donate your organs is irresponsible.

bridy—I agree with you, except you didn't mention that there are medical reasons too. Diabetics can't be organ donors, and I think if you have had cancer, you can't be an organ donor.

The medical deferrments I can understand, but I agree it is irresponsible not to be a donor. My religion says that this old shell will be replaced by something much better, so when my spirit leaves it, why not give all parts of it that are usable to others.
The same applies with blood donations. give every chance you get.

I am a donor, but I still have this thing about being cut up for any reason.
I am also afraid of dying in a fire, but want to be cremated. Silly huh???
I don't think anyone should be to tough on a person who for whatever reason don't make that choice………..it's their business, not mine or yours.
