I think the city and county have enough to worry about... the staff that provided this event had all aspects under control. They had EMT's there, along with judges, referee's and other support staff. The fighters know what they are getting into when they sign up....as long as they are of age then let them do it. If you do your research on this sport it has evolved and came a long way since the very first UFC MMA fights. I enjoy them and will continue to support events such as these. This town needs alternative sports here...more than Rodeo and Football. !!! I look forward to the kinks being worked out and the scheduling of the next event.
Thanks Native!! I actually didn't see the article you are talking about...anyway I can find it? I would love to see how religion fits into this. (LOL) As you said the bible is full of war stories and brutal ones at that....the fact is that civilization loves the art of war and has for millions of years. Look at football....boxing...hockey...wrestling. I could go on forever....all the way back to the bible as you said. Thanks.... I hope they work out the kinks and get this event up and running again and hold many of them a year. Any additions from the religious side?
I don't like cage fighting, but that's just me. If people want to go see it, they can. If they want to participate, it's their noggin that's getting punched. As for me, I just don't go. It doesn't really matter. How much more can it be regulated? That's crazy! It's as simple as if you like it go. If you don't, stay home. They have an ambulance crew there for any injuries, and that's as it should be.
