Communities at Work: Taste of tobacco
The tobacco trade is one of the oldest professions in America. Before the days of convenience stores, when society had a lower level of health consciousness, most people relied on tobacco shops for their nicotine fix. Although no wooden statues adorn the outside of the shop, Smoker Friendly still provides a taste of the Wild West in Craig. The shop offers nearly every kind of tobacco imaginable in a variety of flavors, from your standard cigarette to cola-flavored hookah tobacco. JoDeena Bullock has managed the establishment, whose owners are based in Boulder, for six years with her best friend, Rose Fief, as an employee by her side. Here are a few pictures from their daily routine at Smoker Friendly on Victory Way.
