Keeping up on upkeep John Furman is a busy man. As the building and grounds coordinator for Sunset Meadows I and II, Furman has his hands full renovating apartments, removing snow and whatever else happens to come across his desk. It's a job that has kept Furman busy for the past 13 years. And he likes it that way. But there is evidence that it is more than just a job. As Furman walks the properties, he constantly is saying hello to residents, proof that he cares about more than just the grounds he's paid to maintain.

Furman walks on a recently re-coated parking lot at Sunset Meadows. Furman said he enjoys working at the building because it keeps him busy and doing different things every day.
John Furman looks out at gardening plots the maintenance crew provides for Sunset Meadows residents. Furman said he tills the ground and marks off plots, but the residents do the gardening.
Furman readies a doorknob to be installed in the laundry room. Besides grounds work and apartment renovations, Furman said he also must keep up with snow removal in the winter.
