Communities at Work: Going green May 16, 2009
It's a bright spring day, and the roar of a lawn mower fills the air. Tamara Piona, owner of Thirsty Thistles Landscaping & Design, is tending to another yard, one of many she cares for throughout the week. Piona, who has spent many years working in landscaping, opened her business a month ago but said she is already busy Monday through Friday. And, her new business couldn't be better suited to her. "I just love being outside," Piona said. "I love digging in the dirt and just love watching things grow."
