Adrian Archuleta, Colorado Division of Wildlife district wildlife manager, tends to a moose calf before loading it in a trailer bound for the Meeker area. DOW officers collected the animals from an area near Ogden, Utah, where the local population had grown to the point that moose were wandering into residential areas.
Crews transport moose from the wild in Utah to a base camp, where DOW officers loaded the animals into trailers. The DOW released 19 moose Thursday and Friday in the Meeker area.
