Baker Drive Pets, 2218 Baker Dr., looks as if someone dropped a business in the middle of a residential area. This is fortunate because many creatures call the business home. Walking inside, customers can hear the sounds of fish tanks bubbling, birds chirping and puppies barking. Store owner Shannon Lee took over two years ago and has brought ranching experience to the business.
Shannon Lee, owner of Baker Drive Pets, feeds some of the many fresh-water fish the store keeps on hand. The store also keeps many varieties of salt-water fish for sale.
Pete, an Albino Red Oscar, sits Wednesday in the tank in the front area of the pet store. Lee estimated Pete is more than 13 years old.
