Communities at Work: December 26, 2009 December 26, 2009
This Communities At Work is a collection of photographs taken throughout the Craig community during church ceremonies Christmas Eve. Although the holiday season has many meanings to different people, these institutions all celebrate the season through their belief in Jesus Christ’s birth. Here is a brief tour through a few of the churches as they celebrate Christmas Eve.
Pastor Lee Byrum gives a sermon during a candlelight Christmas Eve service at Calvary Baptist Church. The church offered two services throughout the night to deliver the Christmas message.
Alex Arellano, 12, carries the processional cross with his brother, Nestor, 13, behind him and Father Randy Dollins following during the beginning of the candlelight Christmas Eve service held in Spanish at St. Michael Catholic Church. The church offered three Masses throughout the evening to cater to its congregation.
