Communities at Work: Pinky's Palace 'young at heart' April 18, 2009
A new business has hit downtown Craig, and it has a bit of an edge. Pinky's Palace, 519 Yampa Ave., features clothing and accessories for the "young at heart." The business started with a simple drive through Craig. Kari Wasik was on her way to Grand Junction when she saw the space for rent. Two weeks later, she was signing papers and looking to move to town. Wasik opened the store in March with her brother, Michael, and mother, Kathy Wolff, who each have a hand in the business. They sell all types of bracelets, patches, clothing and many other items.

Karrie Wasik checks inventory Thursday afternoon in her store, Pinky's Palace. Currently, the first floor of the store is broken into two sections - one side containing Wasik's merchandise, and the other side house her mother's merchandise from a previous business. Wasik plans to expand her inventory into both sections.
