House of Horror October 25, 2008
It's Thursday night, just after 7 p.m., and a group of about five walk up to the white house located next to Brass Key Realty. Dave Payton greets them, welcomes them to the Craig House of Horror, and opens the door. About 12 actors get into position, dressed from head-to-toe in costume, ready to scare. It's something they seem to enjoy just as much as the customers looking for a thrill. The final run will be Tuesday through Friday, with no-scare hours from 6 to 7 p.m. and regular hours from 7 to 10 p.m.
Natasha White gets a final scare upon exiting the Craig House of Horror on Thursday night during scare hours. The first hour open at the house is no-scare, but at 7 p.m., the actors fill the house, ready to frighten travelers.
Daniel Cramblett pours fake blood over his mask while setting up for Thursday night. Actors in the house use a variety of props to terrify visitors.
Harvey Preston, and the other actors at the Craig House of Horror, decided to scare up some business before opening Thursday by waving to passers-by. The chainsaw Preston uses is chainless, but the sound it makes is very real.
