10th Annual Sheep Wagon Days October 3, 2008
Steve Cattoor demonstrates Thursday morning the art of rope braiding to Sunset and Ridgeview Elementary second-graders using a machine his father invented in 1917. About 100 students traveled out to Wyman Living History Museum for the kickoff of the 10th Annual Sheep Wagon Days, which will continue through Sunday. Hailey Cass, 7, works on a design for a brand with her mother, Linda, Thursday, at the Wyman Museum. Students designed brands, similar to what a farmer would use to mark their sheep. The station was one of about seven that ranged on how to make butter and ice cream to rope making to blacksmithing.
