Forgay and four other local veterans were scheduled to read their favorite childhood stories to children during the Veterans Day-themed story time. Forgay chose to read Silverstein's "The Giving Tree."

Moffat County High School teachers were stationed at tables in the school's first- and second-floor commons areas Thursday night for parent-teacher conferences. Amber Clark, MCHS science teacher, estimated the event drew in the same number of parents and students it does every year.
