You might call their house a menagerie. They have horses, chickens, rabbits, hamsters, ducks and more. They sport names like Hamzilla, Big Mama and Thumper. Dena Wardlow easily could be called an animal person. And keeping up a house like that is no easy feat. In fact, it was her husband, Randy, who suggested it would be easier and cheaper for Dena to just open her own store. And Critters R Us, at 2005 W. Victory Way, was born.

Dena Wardlow talks about the variety of inventory in her store. She said it has increased because of customers coming in and asking for something to be ordered for their pets.
Dena Wardlow takes inventory at her store. She said she keeps on hand everything people might need for their pets, and if she doesn't have something, it can be ordered. "We have all kinds of goodies," she said.
