Communities at work: A world of color August 30, 2008
Taking a bit of water and dabbing the brush into some watercolor, Joyce Lee Petersen adds another bit of paint to her canvas.
It's one of many paintings she's working on, one of many to be added to the already comprehensive list of paintings lining her walls, as well as walls in Craig, Hayden and Steamboat Springs.
Working mainly in water media, she paints everything from abstract to impressionism.
It seems she likes to paint pretty much anything that catches her eye.
With experience working in many different mediums, she's focused much of her attention recently to water media, which includes watercolor, casein, gouache, acrylic and colored ink.
