Roy Karo, Peabody Energy's Colorado reclamation manager, poses in a reclaimed field near Twentymile Mine in Oak Creek. This week Peabody announced Karo was recognized by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, and the Colorado Mining Association as the 2012 Dr. James A. Pendleton Award for Reclamation winner.
