A fire truck carrying water to assist with the Citadel and East Tschuddi fire suppression efforts went up in flames Monday night due to an oil or gas line rupture, said Moffat County Sheriff Tim Jantz. The truck caught fire about 20 miles south of Maybell on Moffat County Road 57, also known as the Price Creek Road. No one was injured, and the fire truck never made it to the scene. The truck was transported back to the Moffat County Public Safety Center.
