Brayden Peterson works for position against Coal Ridge's Michael Shaw Thursday night at Moffat County High School. Peterson would lose to Shaw, 6-5, but come back with a 25-second pin in his match against Steamboat Springs.
Craig Police Department officers, Craig Fire/Rescue firefighters and EMTs with The Memorial Hospital in Craig responded Thursday to a report of a vehicle crash at Faith Lutheran Church, 580 Green St. The driver was traveling west bound on Sixth Street when she reportedly lost consciousness, rolled through a stop sign and struck the handrail at the church, according to police department officials. The driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released. The cause is still under investigation.
Shane Wilson and his wife, Shelly, stand together at the Moffat County extension office. The Wilson's have started a program in honor of Shane’s late father, Homer, that will ward scholarships to local youths involved in 4H or Future Farmers of America.
The site of the future Fuller Center House at 731 Yampa Ave. sits Thursday covered in snow. Neil Folks, president of the Moffat County Fuller Center for Housing, said that plans to begin building will likely take place in April, weather permitting. Folks is currently working on acquiring materials, some donated and others at cost from local businesses. Donations towards the project are always being accepted.
