Dr. Kelly Victory, a member of Gov. Mitt Romney's healthcare policy team, spoke to more than 60 local residents about Obamacare during Thursday's Bears Ears Tea Party Patriots meeting. Victory called the current healthcare debate a discussion about two different visions for America, one voters will be able to choose on election day.

Librarian Bonnie Thompson, of Sunset Elementary School, hangs a sign and sets up a display in anticipation of the Passport to Reading program. The program, for fourth and fifth graders, aims to encourage students to read books from different genres, and not just ones they are comfortable with. Upon reading books, students receive stamps in their "passports."

Senior Jacob Teeter crosses the goal line in the team's first game Sept. 1 against Ridge View Academy. Teeter and the Moffat County High School football team will need to score big again at 7 p.m. tonight at the Bulldog Proving Grounds in order to stick with Rifle High School's high-powered running offense.
