Part of an overnight outdoor education experience, fifth grade students of East and Sunset Elementary watch a fire simulation by firefighters Hawk Fick, front, and Alex Farinetti of the Craig Bureau of Land Management. Fick and Farinetti lit matches on a board, representing trees in a forrest to demonstrate how quickly a fire can spread, considering factors such as wind and slope.

Fifth graders from Sunset and East Elementary schools took part in an overnight outdoor education experience Thursday and Friday at Yampa River State Park.
Moffat County High School quarterback Bubba Ivers looks to throw during the team's 45-0 loss to Rifle High School last Friday. Ivers and the Bulldogs offense will need to be better through the air and on the ground in order to get a win over Steamboat Springs High School.

Elders Smith and Campbell, missionaries stationed in Colorado, were at an appointment Wednesday at Vallem's apartment, and discussed topics such as fasting and tithing.
