Foreclosure sales in Moffat County have risen steeply in recent years, according to data provided by the Moffat County Treasurer’s Office. Rural communities like Craig are getting hit harder by the foreclosure crisis even as Front Range communities recover, said Shannon Peer, director of housing counseling with Brothers Redevelopment, a Colorado nonprofit organization.
