The Festival of Trees winner has been announced, but the decision was so difficult to make, judges added four trees as honorable mentions. “It was hard for judges to decide, there were so many great trees,” executive director for Moffat County United Way, Corrie Ponikvar said. Connections 4 Kids tree, Cherish the Little Things, took first place and the $500 prize to use for its programs. “I’m shocked. So many of the non-profits submitted beautiful trees and I’m just honored they chose ours,” said Michelle Balleck, coordinator for Connections 4 Kids.
