The Moffat County High School varsity football team couldn’t overcome the size and speed of John F. Kennedy High School on Saturday at Denver All-City Stadium, dropping to 0-3 after a 51-22 defeat. The Bulldogs’ quarterback, Bubba Ivers, pictured above, threw for 79 yards and rushed for 118 yards, but the MCHS defense couldn’t contain the Commanders’ offense.

MCHS football loses footrace to Kennedy in 51-22 defeat

The Moffat County High School varsity football team learned Saturday that size and speed can change the dynamics of any game, head coach Kip Hafey said. The Bulldogs took on John F. Kennedy High School at Denver All-City Stadium, where the Commanders’ bigger and faster players overwhelmed the MCHS defense in a 51-22 defeat for Moffat County.
