John Young, of Montrose, battles for the lead Saturday at Thunder Ridge Motor Sports Park, south of Craig. The event was the new racetrack’s inaugural run for stock cars. Young said with time and support, he’s confident Thunder Ridge will succeed.
Tammie Thompson-Booker, director of sales at Candlewood Suites, stands Thursday in the hotel’s lobby. After graduating from college, Thompson-Booker began working at Holiday Inn in Steamboat Springs. She has been in the hotel business ever since.
Roger Spears, a former science teacher at Moffat County High School, demonstrates ozone data in May at Craig Middle School. Spears, who has been collecting ground-level ozone data over the summer, said the air in Craig has remained below dangerous levels.
