MCHS boys basketball falls, 78-51, in Montrose

Eric Hamilton, the Moffat County High School boys varsity basketball team’s head coach, said the Bulldogs played their best quarter of the season to open Friday’s game against Montrose High School. However in the second quarter, the team collapsed and was outscored 27-7, eventually falling, 78-51, in the opening round of the Black Canyon Classic at Montrose High School. “We had nine turnovers in the first quarter, but it was still 15-13 and we had a good attack against the press,” Hamilton said. “In the second quarter, we fell apart and we had no teamwork. They switched to a man-to-man (defense) and it was just a horrible quarter.”
