Craig Middle School science teacher Norm Yoast ignites acetylene gas within a pumpkin Friday. For five consecutive Halloweens, Yoast has been detonating pumpkins at CMS to teach principles in chemistry and physics.

On Friday morning, Norm Yoast addressed his eighth-grade science class by asking students to don safety goggles. Yoast stood at the head of the class.
