Kenneth “Howdy” Davis, 73, watches presentations Thursday morning at the Moffat County High School auditorium. “This is one of the most memorable days of my life,” said Davis, after presentations from students, members of American Legion Post 62 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265. This year’s Veterans Day had special meaning for Davis, as he was able to share in the festivities with his grandson, who will be starting active duty service in the Army on Nov. 19.

Veterans Day, ceremonies have special meaning for Craig resident

Kenneth “Howdy” Davis sat Thursday behind the spotlight at the Moffat County High School auditorium. Davis, a 73-year-old Craig resident, remained still as he listened to the words of his fellow veterans ring throughout the auditorium, their message heard by hundreds of MCHS students.
