The Moffat County Tourism Association replaced a member of its board Friday, a day before an organizational retreat in Steamboat Springs. During a special meeting Friday, the Moffat County Commission approved, 3-0, appointing Craig Daily Press Publisher Bryce Jacobson to the MCTA board position once held by Frank Moe. Moe resigned from the position July 15 in a letter written to the commission.
New contenders emerge
Two longtime local residents announced their candidacies Monday for the Moffat County Commission. Tony St. John, 68, a republican, is running for the District 2 seat, and Frank Moe is running for District 3.
