Brady Conner throws the ball Thursday during Moffat County High School football practice. The Bulldogs will host Battle Mountain High School at 7 p.m. today. Last year, MCHS defeated the Huskies, 41-31.
A cooperative group of energy companies, academic institutions and government agencies plan to explore the possibility of using the mountain ranges around Craig for carbon sequestration. The group received a $3.8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to conduct tests on the hills between Craig and Hamilton, pictured above on the other side of the Tri-State Generation & Transmission power plant.

Grady Wooden, 3, pays for a baked good Thursday at the Craig Farmers Market at Alice Pleasant Park. The Downtown Business Association sponsors the event each year to feature local produce and products for sale. The final 2009 Farmers Market will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
