Craig Fire/Rescue firefighters respond to a fire reported Wednesday at the Golden Cavvy. There was a small fire in the back of the building causing minimal damage.
Patti Disch, left, who works with dietary services at the Moffat County Jail, plates a hefty portion of turkey for a Thanksgiving meal Thursday at the jail. Fernando Rojas, an inmate who helps in the kitchen, waits patiently to drench the meat and stuffing with giblet gravy. Inmates and staff were served a traditional feast of turkey, green bean casserole, stuffing, vegetables, bread, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie for the holiday.

Brent Chedsey, an inmate who helps in the kitchen, stacks trays ready to be served. Chedsey said he is most thankful this year for a healthy and supportive family.
Craig Police Department Officer Dale Secules will soon miss his familiar patrolling vehicle. In January, Secules will fill a detective position, formerly held by Ken Johnson, in the Police Department’s investigation unit.
Using a machine, Billy Richards shakes loose needles out of a Christmas tree before placing it on display at Tunies & Such Nursery & Landscaping. The machine helps keep needles out of customers’ homes during transportation.
