Dorothy Martin holds her daughter, Bethany, Saturday morning in one of The Memorial Hospital’s new birthing rooms. Bethany was the first baby born at TMH’s new facility. She weighed 6 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long, and entered the hospital’s history books at 2:09 p.m., Nov. 13, 2009, a day after the new hospital officially opened.
