Rolfy Chavez, executive chef at the new Castle Ranch Steakhouse located inside the Holiday Inn of Craig, sautes asparagus spears in butter and bourbon. He started his career in San Diego and has worked in kitchens for more than 20 years.
The Holiday Inn of Craig has spent about $90,000 redesigning the restaurant and kitchen and plans on more additions to the bar area. The Cattle Ranch Steakhouse is open for breakfast and dinner daily and serves lunch Monday through Friday.
Rolfy Chavez, 46, took the position of executive chef at the new Castle Ranch Steakhouse, located in the Holiday Inn of Craig, about four months ago. He is shown here holding a wedge salad Thursday in his kitchen. Hotel management said Chavez is the main ingredient in a sweeping renovation to the Holiday Inn's restaurant and lobby.
